Why does Summit only have one service a month? & an invite to our next one in a few days!

One of the questions I get asked as the lead pastor for Summit Community Church is why we only have one service a month?

As a new church in Hazard, we didn't simply want to start having weekly services. In fact, we won't start having weekly services until August 14. Right now we are doing what are called Preview Services.

Preview Services are meant to give people a preview of what Summit will be like once we start going on a weekly basis. Our prayer is that people would enjoy and be impacted by what they experience at Summit. We also hope that in the weeks between each service excitement builds among those who were at the last service so that they invite friends and family with them to the next service.

We also try to use the weeks between Preview Service to serve the community of Hazard & Perry County. This is one of our goals in our summer series of Movies In The Park.

Preview Services also help our team prepare for when we go to weekly services. The time in between each service allows us time to make necessary adjustments for the next service and when we begin having weekly services in August.

Our next Preview Service is THIS Sunday, May 22
. It starts at 11am, at The Forum in the Hal Rogers Center in Hazard. I want to invite you to be a part of it! Maybe it's been a while since you've been to church or you've never been to church. Maybe you don't believe in God or your searching for answers to some big questions in life right now. Maybe you simply believe you should have a relationship with God and are looking for a place to help you know what that can look like, or your looking for a church you & your family can plug into, WHEREVER your at, WHOEVER you are, we want to invite you to come to Summit Community Church THIS Sunday, May 22.

Our awesome Summit K!DS team will be ready to go for kids nursery - elementary age. And you should dress casual. Our goal is that you would come as you are, but not leave that way.
